Welcome to Asterisk Arena PDF Print E-mail

Through our site, we want to supply the asterisk community with several free utilities which will became an added value to their existing pbx.

Usually, the majority of asterisk deployments are intended to replace old and obsolete pbx at the same time of obtaining many of the VoIP world advantages, such as cost reduction and mobility. From the enterprise point of view, with the apropriate team of qualified crew, theese objectives are easily accomplished. But, in most cases, the user side is neglected, forgetting that they, the users, are the key for success.

Through this web we will try to focus on those users, in a way they feel that the Asterisk value is not only on cash savings, but the flexibility, added value and new functionalities this technology represents to them.

From this perspective, we have tried to design all the utilities for every scenario and every type of user, from Operator/Receptionist who needs to manage calls (WOP) to end user who wants full desktop integration (PhoneOCS) or greater mobility (Virtual Extension), to departments, that will want their own mini-CallCenter Intranet enabled (AgentLogger or QueueOCS). And, of course, department managers and secretaries, which are one of the most critical users in the deployment, because they require the software to be as easy as can be, and even more flexible in basic operations. This group of users tend to be used to the older operative, regarding Transference, Huntgroups or Callback. This operative differs from the Asterisk native one, thus this represents a major problem for the deployers of the new infrastructure, which in some cases can lose the organization support.

The programmer's point of view is covered also with AmiConnector, a library which enables the integration with corporate software. Last but not least, the daily pbx operative is simplified by using Web Operator Panel Admin. Designed to work seamlessly with standard Asterisk configuration files, enables power users to perform the most usual operative over a pbx in a easy and quick way. This usual operative includes among other things the automatic provisioning of new phones coming into the organization and the possibility of integrate them with the corporative directory.
